View from above Tilberthwaite to Little Langdale and Fairfield

Tilberthwaite Gill, Little Langdale, Slater’s Bridge, Hodge Close

A relatively low level walk mainly old miners paths passing Elizabethan Coppermines Victorian slate workings, waterfalls and woodland, the much photographed Slater’s Bridge in Little Langdale, Cathedral Cavern, an underground slate working and the huge flooded excavation of Hodge Close. Throughout the walk is full of interest with views of the high fells of the Lake District and perhaps a red squirrel.
