Place Fell and the Ullswater Lakeside Path

Although only 2154 feet (657m) high the summit of Place Fell gives panoramic views equal to any in the Lake District. After the summit there is a pleasant descent past the waterfalls of Scale How Beck and then according to Wainwright 'The most beautiful and rewarding walk in Lakeland' back to Patterdale.
