helm crag from grasmere

Helm Crag and Steel Fell from Grasmere

From the centre of Grasmere there is a steep ascent to the top of Helm Crag with excellent views back to Grasmere Village. This is followed by a delightful undulating walk along the ridge to Steel Fell. A visit to the 'Lion and the Lamb' and the possibility of spectacular views across to the eastern lakeland fells make this a superb day's outing.
