Langdale Pikes to ElterwaterA linear guided walk mainly on good paths which utilises the bus from Elterwater to the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. The cost of the bus fare, is not included in the price of the guided walk. The guided walk follows the twisting northern ridge of the Great Langdale Valley and has constantly changing views of most of the Lake District fells. From the New Dungeon Ghyll we ascend steeply but steadily to the rocky summit of Pike o' Stickle. Our route then takes us to Harrison Stickle at 2403ft, the highest of the Langdale Pikes, and then to Sergeant Man. From there we descend to the delightfully undulating ridges of Blea Rigg and Silver How before finally returning to Elterwater.
