Cloud inversion over coniston fells

The Coniston Round

The fells around the small village of Coniston are steeped in history from the coppermines and slate quarries that used to be worked there. Discover more about this fascinating area and its history as we pass through the Coppermines Valley on our way to ascending Wetherlam. An exhilarating high level circuit follows to Swirl How, Grey Friar and Coniston Old Man, offering the possibility of excellent views before returning to Coniston village.
