Crinkle Crags and Bowfell from Great LangdaleStarting from the Old Dungeon Ghyll this is a strenuous high level guided walk ascending these impressive fells at the head of the Great Langdale Valley. A steep ascent to Crinkle Crags is followed by an exciting ridge walk over the 'Crinkles' of Crinkle Crags themselves. Another steep ascent then takes onto the rough and rocky summit of Bowfell. Your hard work however, will hopefully be rewarded with excellent views across to the central Scafell range and down the beautiful Great Langdale Valley. |
